Testing

As part of our service to OEMs, Hotset has a testing lab available to measure the profile of the interaction between a heater and the mating component.  Such testing produces important finding that can impact the design of the heater or mating component to optimize thermal transfer and thermal performance,  Packaging jaws, for example can be compatible with a greater range of films if they have a very flat profile (within three degrees F) across the working surface.  Similarly, hot runner nozzles can be used with a wider range of engineering grade plastics when the heater is correctly profiled.  Better product quality, faster throughput speed and improved range of materials are all possible outcomes of optimizing thermal performance.
