While Hotset’s standard lead time for build to order cartridge heaters and coil heaters is a best-in-class seven business days, we also understand that emergency heater requirements do happen.

The cost of a heater is small when compared to cost of idle labor, overtime, returns, and contract performance penalties.  Hotset also understands that often a “stock heater” will not meet your performance criteria.  To address emergency situations, Hotset has the following programs:

Hotflex Tubular heater

Hotflex tubular heaters are a user formable replacement for custom bent tubular heaters.  Stocked in Battle Creek in 8.0 and 8.5 mm diameters in increments of 50mm.  Approximately 80% of those who call Hotset because they cannot wait 6 weeks for a customer bent tubular heater are able to be up and running the next day with Hotflex. This is a stocked item that ships the same day without a premium. The Hotflex is not a temporary solution.  Hotflex heaters have proven to improve thermal profile and last longer than standard tubular heaters.

Wind from stock coil heater

Hotset has an extensive stock of our standard flat coil heater (2.5x3.4) with and without thermocouple.  The wind from stock coil heaters have a watt density similar to standard hot runner applications.  These coil heaters are stored in straight lengths, and can be wound to your specific requirements.  Orders received for an in stock heater by 11:00 a.m. EST are wound, pressed and shipped the same day without a premium.

Build to order cartridge heaters

With Hotset, you can get the exact build to order cartridge heater you need built in three days, two days or next day (when capacity allows).  While there are additional costs to the customer associated with expedited cartridge heater manufacturing—these costs are almost always a small fraction of the expense associated with downtime, overtime, delayed production and customer dissatisfaction associated with being unable to produce the product or service your customer needs.  Hotset can build to order expedited high watt and medium watt density coil heaters, with or without thermocouple, wattage distribution and standard end product.  Silicone potting and epoxy potting require one extra day to ensure proper curing.

Build to order coil heaters

Hotset can build to order expedited standard coil heaters in three days or less.  These coil heaters can be built with or without thermocouple, with Teflon or high temperature leads, and with standard end product.
