FAQ about the D‑System
The most frequently asked questions about the D‑System can be found here.
Question:
How easy is the display to read?
Answer:
The touch display has a self-luminous LED TFT with a resolution of 800x480 pixels.
Question:
What values does the D‑System display?
Answer:
Inlet temperature, inlet pressure, return temperature, return pressure, flow rate, flow, energy, pressure differences, temperature differences, synchronization signal, process limits and system messages.
Question:
Can the measuring module record the data without the display?
Answer:
No, without the display there is no function and can only record when the measuring module is connected to the D‑System.
Question:
How is the measurement data displayed?
Answer:
The operator can choose between different views, scheme, list, analog and graph.
Question:
Can the D‑System be used to check a temperature control unit, for example?
Answer:
Yes, in principle everything can be tested that fits the measuring range of the measuring module.
Question:
When checking a mold circuit, is it possible to see the influence of the melt in the return temperature?
Answer:
Yes, provided that the energy introduced into this circuit is sufficient, the influence becomes visible.
Question:
Can I synchronize an injection molding machine with the D‑system?
Answer:
Yes, if a potential-free contact is set at e.g. start injection and this is connected to the SUBD9 on the D‑system, the process can be recorded with the measurement data and can be found in the log file.
Question:
In what form do I receive the measurement data? How can I evaluate the measurement data?
Answer:
A .csv file is saved on e.g. a USB stick, which can be opened via e.g. MS Excel.
Question:
What data can be found in the log file?
Answer:
The following measurement data are listed: date, time, input temperature, output temperature, input pressure, output pressure, flow, warning, limit, DI01
Question:
Which connections does the masuring module have?
Answer:
The measuring module type 1 has 4x G3/4“ female threads.
Question:
How long can I work with the D‑system in battery mode?
Answer:
The D‑system can be operated for approx. 4 h — 5 h in battery mode.
Question:
Can I use the D‑system while it is charging the battery?
Answer:
If the capacity of the battery is above 10%, it is possible to charge and use the system at the same time.
Question:
Can I replace the battery?
Answer:
The battery is permanently installed and can only be replaced by Hotset GmbH.
