High-Watty Light

Aluminum nitride heater

The aluminum nitride heating element Hi-Watty Light is the innovation for high-speed heating and cooling of liquids and gases. Its miniature design and outstanding performance make it the ideal solution for compact high-tech applications requiring the highest temperature control speed and homogeneity of heat distribution.

For very rapid heating of liquids and gases.

Aluminum nitride heater

The aluminum nitride heater is also available in small dimensions.

Thanks to its miniaturized design, the AlN heater requires very little installation space. Installation does not demand any special requirements. The standard range includes four versions for voltages from 100 to 200 volts, with outputs ranging from 45 to 1,600 watts. The power densities are between 16 and 96 W/cm2 and the resistance values between 25 and 400 Ω.

The ceramic High-Watty Light is a benchmark as a highly efficient alternative to silicone, polyimide or mica heating elements as well as for new developments in the fields of heat management and media temperature control. Its thermal conductivity of 180 W/m • K (or more) is close to that of metallic aluminum. Power density and thermal shock resistance are first-rate, and the thermal expansion rate is only 4.8 x 10–6/ °C. The contact resistance at room temperature is 2.6 x 1014 Ω • cm.

Areas of application

Semiconductor Industry

The development and manufacture of systems and machines for the series production of microelectronic, optoelectronic and inductive power components is one of the main areas of application of the aluminum nitride heating element Hi-Watty Light. In this field, it enables the implementation of thermodynamically demanding manufacturing processes and contacting technologies.

Automotive

Owing to its miniaturized design, the Hi-Watty Light aluminum nitride heating element enables the production of ultra-compact, space-saving and very lightweight electronic and thermodynamic components for modern engine, transmission and clutch technology, among other things.

Medical and laboratory technology

In the field of medical and laboratory equipment and apparatus engineering, the aluminum nitride heating element Hi-Watty Light is used, for instance, in the design of modern screening, analysis and extraction systems.

Measuring and testing technology

Measuring and testing technology is also one of the core areas of application for the Hi-Watty Light aluminum nitride heating element. In this context, it can be used, among other things, as a thermodynamic power component in gas testing instruments, frequency measuring systems, detection devices and radiological apparatus.

Re-engineering and retrofitting

Hi-Watty Light aluminum nitride heaters are used in the re-engineering and retrofitting of heat management and media temperature control equipment and apparatus when optimizing and modernizing systems. For instance, as an alternative to silicone, polyimide or mica heating elements. As such, it enables both considerable increases in performance and in the implementation of miniaturization concepts.
