Depending on the industry and area of application, the term process heat has different meanings. In technical processes (casting, tempering, sintering, melting, forging, etc.), process heat primarily stands for the heat or warmth required for the application and operation. In other areas, process heat refers to the waste heat released by procedures and processes, which can also be put to further use in heat recovery systems. Process heat is mainly generated by combustion.
